Sediment transport is one of the most challenging aspects of river and coastal engineering. The coupled interactions between flows and bed morphology present enormous technical challenges: but the ability to understand, interpret and predict them is key to developing insightful and elegant solutions. Our team are world leaders in the development and application of computer models and analysis techniques for sediment transport analysis.
The results of our sediment transport research are used internationally to address all manner of sediment transport problems. PTM, our 'Particle Tracking Model' is distributed worldwide by Aquaveo and is used extensively by the US Army Corps of Engineers for both dredging and sediment transport studies.
